2026.3 U1#

Planned release date: November 4, 2026

The 2026.3 U1 maintenance update fixes several issues in the BMA Family, the Control Center, and the Data Center. It also strengthens access control in the Control Center and updates the trusted CA certificates.

BMA Family#

BMC outputs with two streams#

On devices with two streams that switch separate BMC outputs, switch commands from one of the streams could be lost, so its outputs were not switched. This has been fixed.

Info

Product availability: BMA TLC V3.

Rules with object count and class filter#

Rules with the condition "object count < 1" combined with a class filter always evaluated to false. These rules now work correctly.

Info

Product availability: all BMA Family products.

Control Center#

New update status: Update pending#

The device list now distinguishes between a scheduled update and an update that is due but not yet applied. Once the scheduled time has been reached and the device is online, the status changes from Update scheduled to Update pending until the update has been applied.

Update pending tooltip

The tooltip shows whether an application or OS update is still pending.

For more information, see Update pending.

I/O device warning#

The warning "Unable to send events to I/O device." has been replaced by I/O event delivery unreliable. The new warning explains that some events may not reach the traffic controller, recommends checking the cabling, power supply, and I/O device configuration, and states the error-rate thresholds:

  • Warning: more than 5% and up to 80%.
  • Not Running: more than 80%.

The error rate also includes the periodic BMC heartbeat, so the warning can appear even if no rule is configured.

For more information, see Status of the streams.

Data Center#

  • Downloads with 15-minute aggregation could get stuck in Preparing download or return no data for some object classes. This has been fixed.
  • Periodic calibration did not set calibration points for some calibration intervals, for example yearly. This has been fixed.
  • The raw event data endpoints (CL and OD) of the Data Center API now return a unique event UUID for each event. Events with the same timestamp, class, and zone or Crossing Line can now be told apart.

Security#

  • Access checks have been tightened throughout the Control Center, including role assignment, subtenant isolation, device and group scope, and access to ANPR images.
  • When the only device group a user or viewer had access to was deleted, that user gained access to all device groups of the tenant. The user now has no group access in this case. For more information, see Device Group Access Control.
  • The trusted CA certificates (ca-certificates) have been updated on the devices. The update was triggered by the certificate authority eMudhra, which can no longer be trusted. Certificates issued by eMudhra are no longer accepted.

Documentation updates#

  • NEW: The status LEDs of BMA V3 and BMA TLC V3 are now documented with illustrations and animations, see BMA V3 and BMA TLC V3.
  • NEW: The License management page explains the Unlicensed status: why it can appear next to Running, that existing streams keep working during the introduction of the new license management, and how to assign licenses in the Control Center.
  • The TDL license has been renamed from Traffic Data Licence to Traffic Detection Licence, see License types. The license enables the I/O connection to the traffic controller (BMC, Quido, XKOPMV).
  • The mounting and installation instructions for BMA V3 and BMA TLC V3 now include 3D animations for the electrical connection and for inserting or replacing the SIM card.
  • The BMA TLC V3 operating instructions now show the connection to the BMC as a 3D rendering, see Electrical connection.
  • Every heading now has an anchor link, so sections can be linked directly.
  • Page titles now match the page content, which makes shared links easier to recognize.
  • Updated page: Control Center → Administration → Device update (describes the update statuses Update available, Update scheduled, and Update pending).
  • Updated page: Control Center → Devices → Devices (added the I/O device warning and its error-rate thresholds to the stream status).
