This release extends the BMA family and the Control Center with new capabilities for Vision Quality, camera configuration, event logic, IO integration, and role management. It also includes improvements for tram classification, B101/B401 camera streams, user management, and Data Center exports.

BMA Family

Vision Quality

Vision Quality monitors whether the camera has a clear enough view for reliable operation. It detects common visual disturbance sources such as fog, sun glare, heavy rain or snow, blurred or unfocused images, unusually high brightness or contrast, camera artifacts or defects, dirty or covered lenses, objects blocking the view such as trees or leaves, spider webs, and very unusual installations the system was not trained for, such as an indoor ceiling view.

The Vision Quality metric is available in Device Health and supports fleet-level monitoring by highlighting devices where reliable operation may be affected by visibility issues.

The metric is shown in three ranges:

  • Green: low probability of a visual disturbance source.
  • Yellow: moderate probability of a visual disturbance source.
  • Red: very high probability of a visual disturbance source; action required.

Digital Zoom

Digital Zoom allows the camera image to be adjusted to the relevant traffic area directly in the Control Center. Irrelevant image areas, such as sky, buildings, or surroundings outside the detection area, can be excluded from processing.

This can improve detection reliability and increase the effective detection distance because distant objects appear larger in the processed camera view. Existing event triggers are automatically adapted to the new zoom level, so configured ROIs and crossing lines remain aligned with the zoomed camera image.

Presence and Counting

The new Presence and Counting IO rule logic combines presence detection with a short counting pulse when a new matching object enters the ROI. This makes it possible to use one ROI both for continuous presence signaling and for counting objects passing through the configured area.

Each matching object is counted once when it enters the ROI. The output briefly toggles for 100 ms to generate an additional rising edge, allowing external systems to determine the number of detected vehicles by counting these rising edges.

ROI OR Logic

ROI OR logic allows multiple rule conditions to be combined for one output signal. The output is active as soon as at least one rule condition is active. In the example shown, each rule condition becomes active when the occupancy state of the respective ROI is occupied.

This simplifies configurations where several detection areas should trigger the same output contact.

TLC Protocol XKOPMV

XKOPMV is an Ethernet-based protocol for interfacing with traffic light controllers. Each camera stream uses its own IP address and port, and up to 12 contacts can be defined for each stream.

Improved Tram Classification

Tram classification has been improved for Traffic & Parking (Standard) and Traffic & Parking (Accuracy+) to provide more reliable classification results in supported traffic monitoring use cases.

Control Center

Viewer Role

The new Viewer role provides read-only access to devices, device groups, device configurations, model configurations, event triggers, and Data Analytics. It covers the same areas as the User role, but does not allow configuration changes.

The previous Viewer role has been renamed to Data Analytics Viewer. Its permissions remain unchanged; the new name makes its Data Analytics scope more explicit.

Improvements

B101/B401

  • Improved camera image stability when running the B101/B401 with multiple camera streams.

Control Center

  • For administrators, the administration areas are now available directly in the sidebar. Monitoring & Alerts, License management, Device update, and User management are easier to find and access.

  • Notification banners in the Control Center, for example for available device updates, can now be dismissed manually or disappear automatically after a short time.
  • Inviting new users in User management now works reliably.
  • The camera frame now displays correctly in the Firefox browser.

Data Center

  • The Excel export in Data Center has been stabilized and now completes reliably, including larger or more complex exports.
  • Improved correctness of the results returned by the moving_traffic live API endpoint.
