Counting
The traffic survey distinguishes between traffic counting and turning movement counting. Both types of survey can be configured and visualized with the Data Center.
Traffic counting:
As part of the cross-section count, various traffic classes such as cars and trucks are recorded that pass a defined road section, the so-called count cross-section, during a specified period of time.
Turning movement counting:
A turning movement survey is a local method of traffic flow analysis that is primarily used at intersections. In this case, the cross-section count is further broken down by travel direction.
