Traffic counting

As part of cross-section counting, various traffic classes such as cars and trucks are detected as they pass through a defined road section, known as the counting cross-section, during a specified period.

Products

The following products are available for cross-section counting:

  • The BMA for permanent installations.
  • The mobile BMA for temporary installations.

Configuration

The BMAs must be configured in the Control Center as follows:

  • Activate MQTT-Connection "Data Center".
  • Under "Model & Event Triggers", make the following settings:
  • Select Model: Traffic\&Parking; (Standard) (see Models for details).
  • Add a Crossing-Line (see event triggers for details).

Now, proceed with configuring the survey in the Data Center.

Speed Estimation (Optional)

Activate speed estimation for the created Crossing-Line in the options.

Note

Vehicles must cross the section (both lines of the crossing-line) for an event to be triggered and for a speed to be estimated.

Data Analysis

Data analysis is performed in the Data Center via the graphical interface and/or the API.
