Class Subclass Definition
car - Car includes small to medium-sized cars up to SUVs, pickups and minivans (e.g., VW Caddy, Renault Kangoo). This class does not include cars with trailers.




car van Vans transport six to nine people (e.g., VW Multivan) or are used for deliveries (e.g., VW Transporter, Fiat Ducato). Delivery vans with closed or open cargo space (e.g., Iveco Daily) are included.





car car with trailer Cars and vans towing a trailer are classified as car with trailer. The entire vehicle and at least one axle of the trailer must be visible.



truck single unit truck Single unit trucks are unit transporters with two or more axles. The tractor and semi-trailer cannot be separated.



truck articulated truck Articulated trucks have more than two axles and a separable tractor and semi-trailer. An articulated truck without a semi-trailer is classified as a single unit truck.

truck truck with trailer Single unit trucks or articulated trucks towing an additional trailer are considered truck with trailer.

bus - A bus transports a large number of people, including coaches, double-decker buses, motor coaches and school buses.


motorbike - The motorbike class covers a person riding a motorized single-track vehicle. Motorcycles with sidecars are included; e-bikes and riderless motorcycles are not.

bicycle - The bicycle class includes a person actively riding a bicycle. People pushing a bicycle count as person, and riderless bicycles are excluded.

person - The person class includes pedestrians and people using segways, skateboards, etc., as well as those pushing a bicycle or stroller.

scooter - The scooter class includes a person riding a scooter, motorized or not, typically with two wheels and a handlebar.

tram - The tram class covers rail-based public transport operating along streets or dedicated tram lines, usually powered via overhead lines.

other - Vehicles or objects not covered above fall into the other class, e.g., tractors (with or without trailers), ATVs, quads, forklifts, road rollers, excavators and snowplows.
