Data sheet
Specification
General
Function
Permanent traffic survey of moving and stationary traffic.
Typical applications
Traffic survey (traffic counting & turning movement counting)
Captured object classes (model traffic & parking)
12+1 (see object classes)
Detection accuracy*
(model traffic & parking) *) optimal alignment and calibration
Counting >95%
Classification
Main classes >95%
Sub-Classes >85%
Speed estimation
*) optimal alignment and calibrated system with a 10m section.
±10% deviation for speeds < 60 km/h
±15% deviation for speeds < 100 km/h
±20% deviation for speeds < 130 km/h
Object speed
< 130 km/h
Day / Night
Yes / Yes (with IR-illumination)
Mounting
Mounting type
Pole mounting, clamping range 60 - 150 mm
Distance
Distance
5-30m (Cars, Trucks)
3-12m (Persons, Bicycles, Scooters)
Height
Height up to 10m Note: A higher mounting position can help minimize obstruction by large vehicles.
Horizontal Angle
Horizontal Angle
0°-360°
Note: An angle of approximately 15° provides better classification results, as more object details become visible from the side (e.g., wheels, axles, etc.).

Data protection and security
The BMA processes personal data only vaguely, without storing it and only for the purpose of anonymization. This is done on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 f) GDPR, namely in the legitimate interest of the operator. Only the anonymous data is then used to carry out traffic management. The BMA complies with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU and the Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive 2014/30/EU. This resulting CE certification is attached to the bottom of the device.
