ANPR parking

Automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) detects plates and recognizes their text, area code, and country code. Typical uses where our products are integrated:

• Automated access control to parking areas: barriers open automatically when a recognized plate approaches. Benefits: faster entry, reduced queues, lower operational complexity.
• Parking duration tracking and parking violations.

Configuration

The BMAs must be configured in the Control Center as follows:

• Activate MQTT-Connection "Custom MQTT connection".
• Under Model & Event Triggers, set:
  • Model: ANPR (see Models for details).
• Add a Crossing-Line or Region-of-Interest (see event triggers for details).

If you need vehicle detection, use Traffic & Parking with optional Parking Mode instead.

Mounting tips

• Mount the camera straight to the number plate to avoid reduced accuracy from angle or occlusion.
• Ensure plates are legible at entry/exit speed; use sufficient zoom and lighting for high contrast.
