2026.2 U1

Planned release date: July 15, 2026

2026.2 U2 supersedes 2026.2 U1

For BMA V3 and BMA TLC V3, the 2026.2 U1 update has been superseded by 2026.2 U2. U2 resolves the mobile data connectivity limitation identified in U1. For more information, see the incident report.

The 2026.2 U1 maintenance update improves the reliability of mobile connectivity, expands network configuration in the Service Interface, and improves the handling of camera connections and streams. It also improves usability and license management in the Control Center.

BMA Family

Mobile connectivity

More reliable mobile connectivity: Mobile connectivity handling has been substantially improved so devices can detect and recover from connection failures more effectively.

  • Faster network selection: GSM networks are no longer considered during network selection. Devices use LTE to establish a faster mobile data connection.
  • Smarter recovery, fewer disruptions: The device distinguishes between temporary coverage issues, unavailable mobile networks, and SIM/APN-related problems, allowing it to take the appropriate corrective action without unnecessary modem resets.
  • Reliable operator changes: A switch to a selected mobile network is considered successful only after working data connectivity has been verified. If the connection cannot be established, the device safely returns to its previous state.
  • Better remote support: Enhanced diagnostics, metrics, SIM information, and manual network scans make connection issues faster to diagnose and resolve.

Info

Product availability: BMA V3 and BMA TLC V3.

Service Interface

  • Mobile network scanning and manual network selection have been added. Users can now view available mobile networks and manually select a different network when needed.

Mobile network scan and manual network selection

Mobile network scan and manual network selection.

  • APN credentials are now optional. The username and password can be left empty when the mobile network provider does not require them.
  • Network settings now allow the gateway field to be left empty. This supports setups where internet access is provided through the mobile connection while Ethernet is used only for event delivery or XKOPMV without internet access.

Info

Product availability: BMA V3 and BMA TLC V3.

Handling after applying recommended camera settings has been improved. For certain IP cameras, the camera image could previously remain black after the settings were applied. The camera connection is now reinitialized automatically, so no manual intervention is required.

Info

Product availability: BMA V2, BMA TLC V2, B101/B401, and BCA.

Camera streams

An issue that allowed deleted camera streams to continue being processed has been fixed. Deleted streams are now stopped reliably and removed from processing.

Info

Product availability: all BMA Family products.

Control Center

  • Devices are no longer pre-selected for device updates to help avoid unintended updates.
  • The issue with the Crossing Line in/out toggle has been fixed.
  • Missing translations have been added to the device list Status overlay.
  • The missing Vision Quality metric for B401 devices has been added.
  • Transparent license management is being rolled out in stages.

Documentation updates

  • NEW: Product sheets and data sheets for BMA V3, BMA TLC V3, and BMC are now available for download.
  • Updated operating manuals: BMA V3 and BMA TLC V3 (expanded the Service Interface documentation with mobile status, APN configuration, LTE network scanning and selection, SIM information, and Ethernet configuration).
  • Updated page: Control Center → Administration → License management (revised for transparent license management and expanded with explanations of license types, available features, and license usage).
  • Updated page: Control Center → Administration → Device update (clarified update scheduling, download behavior, operational interruption, and restart sequence).
  • Updated overview pages: Home, Control Center, Data Center, and Solutions (improved navigation and entry points).
