With this final major release of 2025, we release enhancements across the BMA product family, the Control Center, and the Data Center.
A key highlight is the ANPR parking solution designed for installations where only number plate detection is required, without relying on a vehicle detection.
This release also brings significant model improvements for ANPR and Traffic & Parking, providing higher accuracy and more reliable performance across a wide range of scenarios.
The Control Center and Data Center are updated on the release date, and the device update is available the same day for tenant administrators. For details, see the device update process.
BMA Family & Control Center
ANPR parking solution (without vehicle detection)
We introduce a new solution to detect number plates without relying on vehicle detection. For parking use cases, this enables automated barrier opening based on plate matches or monitoring parking time violations.
- Control Center adds a new model option “ANPR” that detects number plates only.
- In comparison to Traffic & Parking (with Parking Mode ANPR enabled):
- Only the number plate must be clearly visible; the full vehicle is not required, and only the plate is pixelated in Control Center.
- All number plates in the camera frame are detected; vehicles with multiple plates (for example, trailers) are fully captured.
- No other objects like cars, buses, or people are detected or classified.
- Only available via custom MQTT connection; Data Center is not supported.
Model improvements
ANPR
Strong improvements in detection, OCR, and country accuracy for number plates; real-world daytime accuracy increased from 97% to 99% in our measurements.

Improved object detection accuracy.

Device groups
We extended device groups introduced with 2025.3:
New icon for devices whose state is unknown because they are offline.
New icon for devices in standby.- Added search for groups.
- Fixed broken search in "move to device group" dialog.
- Switching between device groups resets table filters (for example, device name).

Device Health
Device Health history extended from 7 to 30 days to provide evidence of reliable and continuous data collection and support self-service troubleshooting. For more details see Device Health.
Audit logs for device changes
Device audit logs capture device configuration changes with user, timestamp, and action, providing clear traceability. For more details, see Audit log.

Noteworthy changes
Other updates in this release:
- Region-of-Interest events now include all ANPR-related fields, matching Crossing-Line events. See Event schema.
- Data Analytics has been deprecated since 2024.3; with this release we will soft-remove it.
- If you do not use Data Analytics: use Data Center.
- If you use Data Analytics: you can continue to use it; we will work with you on a long-term migration to Data Center. New tenants will not have Data Analytics available.
Data Center
Parking
Parking dashboard now uses a refreshed UI for "current parking occupancy".

Additionally, we improved the historic parking utilization. You can now view 7 days at 15-minute granularity or 1 day at 1-minute granularity, and see defined occupancy and capacity per group and in total.

Traffic Flow
Journey time filter moved from the configuration (Config App) to the analytics page (Data App). Set a global time filter for all links or override it individually for links; try settings before saving them for everyone.
